Her Health
Our Her Health Program is a comprehensive health education monthly program designed to equip girls and women with the knowledge and tools they need to understand and care for their bodies. Through interactive lessons and discussions led by trained healthcare providers, participants will learn about their menstrual cycles, reproductive health, fertility awareness, breast health, and natural ways to support fertility. The program also covers practical strategies for preventing pregnancy and maintaining overall wellness.
In addition to education and outreach, Her Health aims to host quarterly health clinics for participants. These clinics would provide a range of essential services, from dental care to breast exams and cervical health screenings, ensuring girls and women not only learn about their bodies but also have regular access to preventive care and professional check-ups.
Alongside education, Her Health will include a Period Project Outreach Initiative. We will distribute Days for Girls Period Kits to girls and women in rural communities where hygiene resources are limited. This outreach ensures that participants not only learn about their bodies but also have access to the supplies they need to manage their menstrual health safely and with dignity. The best part about this initiative is that the Days for Girls Period Kit will be locally made in Haiti by a Haitian woman-owned social enterprise, supporting local jobs while ensuring high-quality, sustainable menstrual care for girls and women.
In rural communities in Haiti, about 68% of adolescent girls report unmet menstrual hygiene needs, and many miss school during their periods due to lack of products. Our Her Health Program seeks to change this by combining education, empowerment, and access to essential hygiene resources, so girls can stay healthy, confident, and in school.
Our period kits are purchased in bulk orders of 25 kits ($375). You can give toward an individual kit ($15) at any time, and your gift will be added to others until we reach the $375 needed to place the order and host our next outreach. If you feel led to sponsor the next outreach, your gift will make an especially meaningful impact for 25 women.
Each kit is designed for maximum comfort, protection, and ease of use. Kits include washable, super-absorbent pads with a moisture barrier, waterproof shields, soap, washcloth, underwear, a drawstring carry pouch, and instructions for care and use, everything needed to manage menstrual health safely and confidently.
