Strong Steps
Starting this Fall
Strong Steps will be a new weekly walk and run club, designed to strengthen both body and spirit. Each session begins with a brief Bible verse reading and prayer, followed by light to moderate exercise, tailored for all fitness levels. This program combines physical health with spiritual nourishment, creating a supportive community where participants can grow in faith while taking intentional steps toward healthier lives.
Many adults in Haiti do not meet the World Health Organization’s recommended levels of physical activity each week, which increases their risk for heart disease, stroke, and diabetes, making a community walk/run club a meaningful way to improve health. With limited access to preventative care and poor nutrition, Strong Steps aims to address these challenges by encouraging regular physical activity in a fun, motivating, and faith-filled environment.
