Travay & Thrive

At Fleri Cheri, we believe every mother deserves the chance to support her family with dignity. Through our Travay & Thrive Program, we help local women launch small businesses, from jewelry making to sewing, so they can earn income, develop skills, and provide for their children’s needs like school, food, and basic necessities. By empowering mothers with meaningful work, we strengthen families and uplift entire communities, ensuring no mother has to choose between her children and financial survival.

You crown the year with your bounty, and your carts overflow with abundance.

Bloom Groups

Bloom Groups was created to close the gender gap in community programs, offering girls, ages 11–20, opportunities to learn, grow, and connect on their schedules. Every summer, this six-week program provides Bible studies, health education, self-care, crafts, and fitness activities, helping girls stay engaged, develop skills, and build community even when school routines are off.

Starry Night Cinema

Starry Night Cinema

Starry Night Cinema is designed to empower mothers by granting them some well-deserved free time. This monthly event creates an opportunity for moms to unwind in the evening while their children enjoy watching a movie together under the open sky.

Gran Gatherings

Gran Gatherings is a community program created to honor and care for the elders in our neighborhood. Each month, local elders are invited to come together for fellowship, shared stories, devotionals, and a nourishing, protein-filled meal. Many of our elders spend long days alone, and Gran Gatherings offers a place of connection, encouragement, and belonging—a reminder that they are seen, valued, and loved.

Fanm Djanm (Strong Women)

Everywhere in Haiti, there are fanm djanm, strong women, selling at the market, cooking for their families, and raising the next generation. Many sacrifice their own dreams to give their children opportunities they never had.

Our Fanm Djanm Events bring women together each quarter to share a meal, enjoy fun activities, and focus on self-worth and personal growth. It’s a space to laugh, connect, and celebrate the strength of every woman, building confidence and community one gathering at a time.

Education Passport

The Education Passport fundraiser supports single mothers in Haiti, where education isn't free and costs exceed what most earn monthly. Many families face tough choices about which child can attend school. This program ensures mothers don't have to make such decisions, recognizing education as the pathway out of poverty.

Kids Kingdom

Kingdom Kids, a program launched in collaboration with a local Haitian church, teaches children about Christ in their native language using Jesus Storybook Bible in Haitian Kreyol. It provides a meaningful break for mothers during service, enabling them to focus on their spiritual growth without interruptions.

Strong Steps

The Strong Steps Running Club aims to encourage healthy habits and spiritual growth among our teenage girls community. Each week, participants come together for a walk or run, combining physical activity with reflection, prayer, and fellowship. With limited access to preventative care and challenges like poor nutrition, this club provides a safe, uplifting space where members can strengthen both their bodies and their spirits, one step at a time.

Liv Lakou

Liv Lakou is a community library mailbox and daily read-aloud program for elementary students. It offers children a quiet, welcoming space to stop by after school to sit, read, and listen to stories before heading home to help their families with daily tasks like fetching water.

VBS

Each summer, we partner with two local churches to host a Vacation Bible School (VBS) for the children in our community. Many of these children do not regularly attend church, so this week is a special opportunity to share the Gospel in a joyful and engaging way. Through Bible lessons, worship, games, crafts, and meals, children learn about God’s love while building friendships and lasting memories. During our very first summer hosting VBS, seven children gave their lives to Christ, reminding us how powerful these few days can be. It’s also a meaningful time for mothers in the community, giving them a few days each summer where their children are cared for in a safe, Christ-centered environment while they work, rest, or take care of responsibilities at home.

Her Health

Her Health empowers women and girls with the knowledge and tools to care for their bodies with confidence and dignity. Through education on menstrual health, nutrition, hygiene, and wellness, we ensure young women have the resources they need to thrive—both physically and socially—so they can fully participate in school, work, and community life. With a monthly outreach component to distribute 50 Period Kits to girls and women in rural areas with unmet menstrual hygiene needs.

Feeding The Five

Feed the Five meets families in urgent need, inspired by the story of Jesus feeding the 5,000. Families opening their homes to neighbors fleeing hardship can exchange a ticket for a food kit, rice, beans, and oil, giving them a hand up, not a handout. This program provides a moment of blessing and reminds us all of James 2:15‑16: “If one of you says to them, ‘Go in peace…’ without giving them what they need, what good is that?”

Limyè Path

Limyè Path (Light Path) is a community-led solar lighting project bringing safety, dignity, and opportunity to neighborhoods after dark. In partnership with Kitem Montre W Ayiti, we are installing solar street lights throughout our community to extend life beyond sunset. Each light helps children study longer, families move more safely at night, and communities gather with greater freedom and security. This is an ongoing project we hope to continue expanding into more areas in need.
